Welcome to Stage 1 of the Colorado Cryptex Cache Adventure!

This series of 5 caches are based on some of the best hides I have seen or heard about on the internet.  I have tried to keep these fairly easy and yet slightly challenging but with a big emphasis on fun. 

This first stage is a located near the new Adams County Government Building complete with a great walking trail and playground.

This first stage is a simple multi cache.  The given coordinates are not the cache coordinates but at that location is an item you may need to find the cache as well as the directions to the cache location nearby.

There is a slight trick to getting the cache container but I am sure it won't be hard to figure out.

There is a nice pond with clear access nearby if needed.

At each stage you will get a code for the cryptex and part of the coordinates to the final location. Don't forget to write them down but please don't share with other geocachers!

60 feet... try 100... you will have better luck finding the cache. Might want warm water if it’s cold... cache was frozen in the bottom. But what a fun cache to retrieve.

I enjoyed the CCCA series... wish the CO was maintaining. You can get part 2 if you walk down past the NO trespassing sign for about 500 feet. No one around so I didn’t see the harm... however... if you are good at following the rules... which I think is best... you can look at my photo that is attached to this post... it is the info you need from part 2 to finish this series... the part 3 & 4 night ones are fun and the final is rewarding.

Found WP1 quickly.
Seemed an easy task to find the cache.
Had the water ready.
But had to give in after 30 minutes searching.

This is my second visit to this cache. I wanted to try to get all of caches along this path completed in one day. I also needed to get the coordinates and cryptex code again so I can finish the series! The container had fallen off of its perch, but I did my best to reattach it. Hopefully it doesn't fall again!
