Scenic view  Hunting  Quads  No Off-road vehicles  Horses

These kind of places are the reason I love my job!
I was surveying all the way up here today. There is an awful lot to see. I think I can see at least five counties and two states from here. I placed this cache so that I could share it with all of you. If you look about 50 feet or so Northwest of the container, you might find the control point I set for my GPS base unit.

To get to the cache, you will need to turn off the main road and park. With a high clearance vehicle, you can get closer, but you will still have to walk the last 2/10 of a mile or so. Stay on the roads and trail. The cache is right on the trail. It's a camouflaged pill bottle.

Watch out for wildlife (we saw coyotes and some kind of cat) and bring the bug spray. Enjoy the view

7-18-15 (not the same date as the log) Prior to the event up here on 7-5, we were 16 caches behind in logging. After the event we found 11 more in the immediate area and were then 27 behind. Have a large construction project winding down in Delta and - due to work pressures and multiple trips lately (graduations etc.) - we have not been totally caught up on our logs since mid May, having only logged FTFs, Events, and a few special finds in the mean time. Now caught up on everything up to the Event which with these 11 logs will bring us to 999 caches.

We have already found our 1000th and will then log it - GCRTA9 – Hidden in the Hunting Ground, a mapping puzzler multi by McMurdo1. We found the first three stages as a team in early June but ran out of daylight, mapping resources, & smarts - and did not find the final stage that day. I literally woke up in the middle of the night with the solution and after taking the Ms. to GJT to fly to AZ the following day, went out and made the find on the way back home to Delta. I signed the cache log and logged a “Note” but decided to wait until the Ms. came back and could see the view and sign the cache log also before logging it on the web as our 1000th find. Managed to get the Ms. out to the finial cache and sign the log this past week so can now make that log entry. It is definitely in our list of top 5 favorite caches!

Sorry for the late log but want to thank each and everyone of you for having set the cache for our enjoyment. After event finally ended up out here to get the Elisa series and then debated if we had enough time to make the trek out here. Had not truely realized that 4x4 traffic had to stop a ways back. Decided we could do it and make it off the mountain top prior to total darkness so set out hot footing it up here. GREAT VIEWS! Giving this cache a FAV point for multiplicity of reasons, the cache itself not being one of them. The LOCATION/View is primary but also as an overall FAV/thanks to kejdad for all the great caches he has set in the area. Planning to be back out and catch the multi along with Turkey and Ridge Rambling. Have our eye on a few other of kejdad's caches around the area also. We enjoy most those caches that take us into the outback. TFTC SL Visited bugs
