The two part puzzle made me think I was off the track until I got verification on part one from w&t and then it fell into place. Had a good weather day to search for the cat and tracked it to its elusive lair. Did a bit off scrambling before we were able to say "Hello Kitty" and sign the log. Thanks for the puzzle, fun, and a great day on the Peak with WingsandTales!

The legend of the Wampus Cat lives on. I first tried to solve the puzzle over 5 years ago and after a nudge from the CO finally got the answer. After seeing the location it sat in my solved stack forever until I found someone willing to help me chase down the beast. I was really glad to be doing this with COpackrat today. Some routes are easier than others but there are no easy routes to the final. The cache was in excellent shape after 6 years with no finds. We picked up the coin that SuperDolph left. It will be fun to contact the owner to let them know it is on the move again. TFTC

Thanks a million to a past finder who has been more than helpful; and gave nothing short of a MAJOR nudge - in a direction I can't possibly imagine ever thinking to go on this puzzle on my own. My hat will be off to all you mountain folks who've paved the way for me ( Vort, you know who you are Cool) !!

Say - how much pavement am I gonna' find on the way to this, anyhow??

All I can say is WOW!! What a stellar location! I had trouble finding the final and spent 45 minutes searching with my GPSr showing me within 15 feet. The weather was starting to move in and I was getting very nervous. I finally called my mom in Woodland Park and asked her to send out a distress message to previous finders of this cache (I can't believe I had service). One of them was called back and sent me in the right direction. It really was within the 15 feet of the location I was searching, I just needed the guts to push it just a bit further. This was part of a two day caching run from the Crags to Manitou. In addition to this one we grabbed two 5/5s and a few others. It was a great trip and I'm thoroughly exhausted! BTW - we camped in the meadow near "Where's Perry?" (GC2B9BB) - I highly recommend it!!

The Wampus definitely Wampus'd me!!! What else can I say? Great cache!

Let me start by saying, it looks much easier on paper. We stood on top of the hill between Home of the FREE and Land of the BRAVE when we realized where we had to go. It was time to call on all our reserve energy and head towards it. It was great to finally sit down next to the cache, stare at the grandeur of Bottomless Pit, and reflect on what we had just done. All that was left now was make our way back to the car, which was no picnic either. We cleaned out the Jeep Jamboree and left a few new items. Thanks for the tough puzzle and tough hike.
