Located in Fourmile Rec Area near Buena Vista, CO. This cache is near a beautiful natural arch landmark. Plan a few hours round-trip from BV to collect this cache. An off-road vehicle is recommended to access the start of a short hike. The easiest access is to hike up the small ravine directly to the south of the arch along the faint trail leading from the parking pull out. It's about a 1/2 mile hike up to the top of the ridge, then turn north to reach the cache site.

This cache was placed in dedication of our 5th wedding anniversary. This location holds significance because it is where Cherokee Huntsman, assisted by his faithful chocolate lab, Jacques, proposed to his bride-to-be in May 2005. We invite you to enjoy the serenity of this beautiful location and if the mood strikes, take a knee and pop the question!

Please take care to preserve the beautiful natural environment.

Owner Maintenance 12/20/2017 By Cherokee Huntsmen
It's been a few years since I've been out to check up on this cache. Took the trip out today for a bit of maintenance, the weather was amazing. Overall, in pretty good shape but some water made it into the box making everything not in baggies a bit cruddy.

Cleaned up the cache box, replaced the waterproof bags and added new treasures, and replaced the soggy logbook. Should be set for the next adventurers looking for a great hike.

Thanks spirit80420 for giving me the heads up on the needed maintenance!

I guess the 3rd time is a charm, plus having 4 friends along to help spot the trail. Even with all that help we wound up at the bottom of the arch, not at GZ. After looking around for a way up and around the arch I finally made my way to the cache but it was a grueling hike as it required a lot of scrambling among the boulders. Once at GZ it's an easy find, but this was one of the most difficult caches to reach that I have tried. Luckily I found the faint (and I mean faint) trail going down the other side of the arch. My knees were certainly glad to get back on flat ground. The views are exceptional from the arch and the cache. TFTC
