This was my second attempt to climb Silverheels. Last time I missed the first cairn off the road and ended up way off the path to the top. I was prepared this time and made it to the top in 2.5 hours. Other than the steep stuff between 12400' and 13500', I really enjoyed the hike! The weather was perfect! Only saw one other person the whole time, and luckily he was coming down the steep stuff when we passed and he gave me some trail advice. Thanks for the obvious find and the bait to get me to the top of this mountain!

Found it, might not have come all the way if not for the magnetic pull of the cache. Tftc

Found this cache in great shape today on a solo Silverheels climb. Met up with a couple of nice guys and their dog at the summit - they'd come in from the east near Como; I drove up FS659, making for a fairly short but steep hike. Perfect weather, and as a bonus, with this find and my find on GC6NA54 nearby, I finally qualify to find the High in Colorado challenge cache! Looking forward to doing that on a weekend trip to the Crested Butte area later in the summer with a couple of caching buddies. Great day for a hike like this - thanks for the cache!

We last climbed Silverheels in 2008 before this cache was placed. Now, with 2 caches up here, we decided we needed to make a return visit.
We had a mostly sunny day. But, when we were on top, we had a few snow flakes in the air. During the hike up, we looked across at the Tenmile Range. It was encased in black clouds most of the time and we could here thunder booming from there. When the clouds finally broke over there, we could see fresh snow on Quandary Peak.

Found with Rblsmit on our trip up Mt Silverheels! Cache seems to be in great condition! It was very rewarding to find this after the hike!
