This is in the mountains and 4 wheeling is HIGHLY recommended
Since I like adventure, thought it would be nice to place some caches that are more than just a walk along Highland Canal, etc. Therefore, I am starting a new series of caches that are "kicked" up from the ordinary. All caches in this series will start with "ADV". This particular cache is best accessed by taking the Stanley road on the west of Idaho Springs and then the road up past he Phoenix mine and Lamertine. Four wheeling is rated as easy for all except the novice. The cache is not hard to find as the adventure is in getting there. The cache is also near a nice place to camp if you want to really get away.

My goal today was the lonely caches on Saxon Mountain, used this one as a bread crumb to stay on the right roads. Nice place to take a break and stretch my legs. Cache is in good shape. Cheers!

Wasn't quite sure how far down this mountain I was going to have to walk, and then hope I didn't get lost, but cache was right were it should be, has a few books in it, but decided I didn't need to stop and read at this moment.
