This cache is located on the Corona Pass Rd. The road is very well maintained and can be travelled by 2WD vehicles. There is a turnout located nearby for easy parking.
Many a railroad had an engine known as "Old Number 999". The Denver and Salt Lake, which ran here, didn't but that really isn't too important. What is important here is that there is a cacher amoung us whom we wish to recognize, and she knows who she is based on the second part of the cache name. She has given to our caching community in more ways than can be counted. So, it is only fitting that we place a cache for her as she approaches 1000 finds. 999 is one less than 1000, so the number works.

The cache container is a 2 liter soft drink bottle that has yet to be expanded.

We are here in the area again this year and this cache is still MIA. We replaced the cache with s camoed container hanging in the trees/bushes, next to road, 22ft S SE of original. No place left to put a cache with all the tree clearing going on. Too nice a place not to have a cache.

A lot of logging in the area, so there's a lot of downed trees. If it is a 2 liter bottle that is still in placr, we did not find it.

Our last day of caching before heading back to Okla. Hoping to find a few caches we had missed in the past. We gave the area a good going over and came up empty on this one.

Did a thorough search and came up empty.
Replaced with new container and log to keep game going.
