Set to further your enjoyment in exploration of the Gunnison Gorge.

Set at staging point for Bobcat Trailhead Wilderness Trail. Unless you plan to hike from Peach Valley Rd. a high clearance vehicle is best - 4x4 when wet - to reach the staging area.

The Gunnison Gorge National Conservation Area and Wilderness welcomes you at this spot with a staging area complete with parking, toilets, and an information kiosk - we've added a geocache as a bonus!

At an elevation of 6299 ft., this is one of the TH gateways into a spectacular 63,000 acre multi-use area known for its outstanding and diverse natural, scenic, geologic, scientific and wilderness resources. Within these acres exceptional recreational opportunities offered include flat and white water boating, Gold Medal trout fishing, hiking, camping, horseback riding, mountain biking, and off-road vehicle riding adventures . . . . as well as a growing number of opportunities for geocaching set by the geocaching community.

Set so short geocachers should be able to reach it with use of local structure. Please replace cache where you found it.

This was fun! After finding the cache we took off and went on a trail it’s beautiful here. Perfect pool day with a few sprinkles! thank you

Finally! After at least three trips, and maybe more for some nearby caches, I got to throw some ink on the log to get rid of this blue frowny guy. New bags look like they will work well. Thanks for keeping things going kekj.

Out with friends checking on our caches that appear to need maintainence in the Gunnison Gorge. As we expected, this one was missing so have replaced with a different style of cache so that it is not as visible and changed hint to reflect that.

It looks like someone really likes your cache as it appears to be missing again. Came back to clear that awful frowny on my map but no luck. Maybe it is a different hide from the other staging areas, but there was nothing in the usual places.
