It was beginning to get hot as I neared this cache and Bandit wanted to go back and play in the creek some more. I cracked up a couple of times before I found the container. After signing the log and adding some swag I sat and contemplated whether to continue to the next cache. I had promised to be home by 1:00 and after doing some mental math I concluded that I could probably get one more and still get back in time but I would really have to hustle. Since I know I'll be coming back here again I decided to call it a day and head back. I saw the poison ivy and also some bear scat. We detoured on the Creek Trail and Bandit had a ball playing in the water. Now I know what I'll be up against for the rest of the caches up here. I think I'll need to plan an all day hike. Thanks for the fun!

Hiked in today with estes01. The poison ivy was just amazing. Hopefully I got it all washed off. Anyway, an interesting location and a reason to try this hike in the summer for a change. Between the insects and poison ivy in the summer, I think I prefer the winter! TFTC!

No luck on the FTF today, somebody beat ernie66 and I two hours earlier. We couldn't read his name on the log, but were pretty sure we passed each other near the parking lot. OK...you need to up the terrain rating on this cache. Normally, I'd be ok with the 2.5, but the poison ivy made it a 3.5 for me. That entire trail is full of poison ivy. Cachers need to wear long pants. TFTC.

Nice! Saw this one pop up a few days ago and thought there my chance to grab a FTF. Well I didnt have the time I needed to make the hike but I did ride out yesterday and do some recon, grabbing some hides along the way. Well today I saddled up and rode over to the parking spot. Grabbed my gear and hiked stright in. once I arrived as GZ it only took a few minutes of poking around before I had the cache in my hands. once I opend it I found the gift for the FTF and an empty log book! well its empty no more! Nice hike on a neat trail. now off to grab the rest while I am up here. TFTC!
