You can make this a quick park and grab, take a stroll or do some fishing. All are options depending on your time and inclination.

Erie Lake offers visitors walking trails, portable restrooms, a handicapped access fishing pier, and wildlife viewing, in addition to both cold and warm water fishing.  

Erie Lake is part of the water supply for the municipality of Erie. Hence the reason for the regulations prohibiting boating and swimming.

If you can read the No Swimming sign you are close to the cache.

We headed out to go grab a few caches after attending the International T-Shirt Day 2023 with the 77's event. Go ,figure I would start on the wrong side. While I was searching I kept hearing voices, as I looked over the railing i see GanderGoose, Mooseyaround and #1 Beefers at GZ. We had a nice short chat before we all parted ways so all of us could continue with each others caching adventure. It is always great running into other cachers out on the trail. Had a very eventful day of caching with GanderGoose and #1Beefers. After logging Road of Remembrance (thank you for the great history there) we thought we could make a straight shot to here. We should have realized it wasn't that easy when Fedex was partially blocking the way. We realized quickly we needed a different approach and were rewarded with the find. Thought a nearby employee was yelling at us while logging, but it turned out to be SeekDaCache. Enjoyed making the find with them. Appreciate the fairly new cache Alpenist, thank you.

Went on a fun geocaching adventure with my super cool friends, mooseyaround and #1 Beefers. While searching for the cache, Mr. SeekDaCache appeared! It's always fun to see other cachers in the field and that was after seeing them at a 77s event this morning. Thanks for the reservoir placement, Alpenist!
