We headed out on a short caching adventure to clean up a few caches in Boulder, Niwot and Longmont. We were also doing some CITO'ing for an up coming BriGuy Cito event just in case it gets cancelled. We searched the area for about 15 minutes and could not come up with it. There is a lot of downed broken tree branches in the area. We placed a new container with log at GZ to keep cache going. A nice big pull-out with close parking to the cache. We were able to spot it fairly quickly.

This was one of my toughest, scariest, and most frustrating geocaching days so far. I started by spilling my coffee on my work shirt, then driving about 3 miles past the first geocache in the mountains. Wandered around till I found my way back. Then an Audi (I already have a distaste for them) was on my rear bumper when I came around a sharp corner to find a deer in the middle of the 2 lane road. I slammed on my brakes. The Audi barely missed me, swerved into oncoming traffic and nearly hit an oncoming car. He fishtailed and took off. I pulled over at the next pull off to calm down. Then I got in over my head climbing a rock wall (solo, no ropes and I'm not a climber). Finally got down after I was drenched in Adrenalin based sweat. Then a 20 minute search for a different cache without luck. I ended the evening at 9:30 pm with 14 finds.
