I like the geocaches that make me work and then reward me with a nice view. This one did that for sure. I was in the neighborhood in my Jeep, and I could have bushwhacked from higher up, but I chose to find the base of the "road" to this one and hike it. I'm really glad I did. Though the main roads were pretty busy today with ATVs, I didn't see another soul on this route. It was a decent climb and the view was spectacular on this clear fall day. Thanks for placing this cache!
PS- The base of the container has been chewed-through, but the log was dry and legible. It could use a new match-stick container if the next to find happens to have one.

I've had my eye on this lonely fellow for a while. I was doing an FTF run not too far away so I decided it was time. I misjudged the advancement of the season though. Two weekends ago I was looking down on Bever Reservoir from Arapahoe and there was still 3-4 ft of snow in the trees around Mitchell Lake. I definitely did not need the gaiters and yak trax I brought today; I needed a portable air conditioner. Luckily a light thunder shower rolled in to cool things off. I parked where Bunce School meets Peaceful Valley Campground. It's about 2 miles each way. The container still has a broken end but the log was legible. A beautiful day and a lovely view. SLTFTC

Nice area, fine walk, good hide. Went searching today with "sassydil" - we were not sure what to expect with this geocache, so we made a point of getting to it early, in order to keep our options open - this was the third stop on a park-once-find-nine excursion. TN-LN-SL. Thanks !

Decided to try this one early in the hike while there was still some energy to get up the hill! As COPackrat mentioned, a critter has chewed on the container. And a corner of the log. Great views from up here.

Stopped by on the way back from the plane crash - the container is missing half its base, but it placed it in such a manner that it will hopefully remain dry. TFTC!
