This is an addition to my ADVENTURE series. That means..you get away from the city..the adventure is in getting there. The cache is relatively easy to find.
Warning!!! Warning!!! Warning!!!

You need a four wheel drive to get to the area of the cache. If you are truly an experienced 4 wheeler, the trail will be easy with a couple of slightly moderate spots. If you are not an experienced 4 wheeler, the route to the cache may be intimidating. You judge your skill level.

During the March C.A.C.H.E. meeting, I was roasted about the size, difficulty, and camo on my hides. I'm not sure why. I never had a problem finding one of my hides. Well, there was "Invasion of Mondo's Spawn" and Watch Your Step". Both of these hides had migrated from their original spot and I had a tough time locating them.

During the roasting, I was presented with 8 cache containers which I am in the process of hiding. This is #2 in that series. The number refers to the relative size of the container...not the order in which they are hidden.

To keep this interesting, I am offering a $50.00 prize to the first person that finds and logs all 8 hides in this series. Please remember to sign the logs as I will be checking them before presenting the money.

Prior to the Roasting, I had this cache in another container which was never hidden. The original name was to be "Its All About the Oil".

Have a picnic...better yet, camp in the area...make this an adventure....not just another number. Happy caching!!

Had a great day caching with OF-Erad and K9Jayhawk. The day started with a puzzle find, then a MEGA event and to top it off we 4X4'ed our way across Idaho Springs, CO to Georgetown, CO and then headed south to the Honey Badger lair. Thanks for sharing this cache, Semper Fi- OMUSMC.

Long Sunday cache run with OF-Erad and OscarMikeUSMC. The day started at Geowoodstock and then transferred West to the hills between Idaho Springs and Georgetown chasing some 4x4 caches, most of which hadn't been found for awhile...TFTC SL

Tough trek to Ground zero. See MontyPyFly2's comments, our sentiments also. TNLN...who would?

Oil filters????? Are you kidding me? Has caching become an excuse to leave nasty trash in the woods?
This garbage left a stink on the entire day.

Really this one has not been found since 2008? Had to go completely around and follow the Spring Gulch road and then connect to the Trail Creek Road. We were up here in the early 2000s and this was a passable road, and these old barracks were still in reasonable shape. Parked at the buildings and walked to this cache anyway. This was as far as we dared to go in our SUV. There was a note in the cache dated I think July 2008 that someone had found it be mistake that was picking up trash, but left it. You are right not to hard to spot once you get to the location.
