A Resting Place. . .
If you're coming down the hill, you probably need a rest from the rock road you just drove down. If you're going up the hill, take a deep breath because the next several minutes are going to be fun!
Either way, stop and look around.

Cache is a camo duct taped Home Depot gift card holder. . . really!

I attached this one going down hill on foot, I got lucky and made the right choice for a change.

There it is!

Cute container!

Thanks for a fun one!

No joy. Did a quick look and only a quick look since it’s a 2.5/2.5 micro hidden in a forest that I hiked into about 5 miles (guess I could have rented ATV or something). Not a focus for the trip; 2.5/2.5s are easy enough closer to home and rather spent time searching for Miranda.

Worse for wear but still there.

I hiked on to this one as my "driver" took the Montero back down to the main road as this section was too tough. I ended up hiking all the way up to Waldorf from the previous cache because they are all on side roads only suitable for Jeeps or ATVs. I got lucky and spotted this one from behind.

Had a great time hiking in the area today. Left the Prius on the blacktop at the beginning of the trail @ 39 41.010 W 105 42.193. Ended up wtih 11.75 miles and 2467 feet elevation gain. Beautiful day - with not a cloud in the sky! Thanks! I kept wandering cross country to leap frog between the two main roads. When I was going to "over the river" I started to cross the creek in the willows - and then saw a cool old foot bridge about 50 feet downstream. That was totally awesome. Loved seeing all the old mining relics. Got my feet pretty wet on all the river crossings - but I noticed that the creek running through Golden has really gotten mellow - so figured it was a good time to attempt the creek crossings. I turned around at the 2nd Miranda cache and I had hiked 6.6 miles. I got back down a lot quicker - guess it was all down hill on the way back! On the way back I found a few smalll trails that I used to shortcut. Saw maybe six vehicles all day, and one woman backpacker heading up as I was almost to the car. 11:53:00 AM% This was a cute container - it was on the ground - so I hung it low in the tree. I did have to search for a while for this one.

Seriously???? Team Laxson and King JR -- neither one of you was forced to find a micro in the woods. Quit your bitching.
