The cache is a small flat metal box. It is a very flat box, pack of Dentyne Ice gum size box
it’s a pretty easy walk from the bridge. I do hope however that finding the cache will be a challenge. There is a log, but you will need to bring your own writing implement. Initial contents include a couple of flies, in case you want to test the waters, and a couple of other small items. It's low enough to be kid friendly. GPS accuracy 12’ but may be affected by the canyon or the trees.

Park in the designated parking area, I have it on good authority that failure to do so, may result in a parking ticket.

 Hints

After seeing some DNFs I thought I better give a little better clue. It is on the north side of the creek. About 30 paces north of a fire ring is a very black tree. The cache is not at the base of the tree but very near. Keep in mind it is a small flat box, Dentyne Ice size.

6 Logs: Found it 6

Found it 04/28/2019 By Parkerobber
Staying at nearby Lost Valley Ranch for the weekend with a group from my private high school community. I had some free time before dinner after rushing to Helen’s Rock to try to get some photos of the valley and the weather that was moving in, so I explored some of the roads back here and tried to find a few caches. It’s so peaceful back here where the only sound is the rushing Goose Creek. This one was a clever hide; I really needed that hint. TFTC

Was thrilled to find this lonely cache, as it was my only cache goal after an epic weekend of backpacking and hiking around the (entire) Lost Creek Wilderness. Was about to give up the search (thinking that maybe it was missing and that's why it hadn't been found in so long) when I finally spotted it! It was much thinner & smaller than I had expected - tricky little bugger!! Nestled it right back where it was. Hopefully it won't go another 3 years without a visitor this time. TFTC - favorite point for the nice memory, closing out a fantastic weekend.

It felt great to finally find this after DNFing it 3 years ago!

Driving by and we stopped to take a look.

The creek was running high and I was on the wrong side, but I found a good place to cross.

Thanks for a fun one to get too!

I picked one cache to get while we were out today, and this one was a good choice! Before the afternoon storm blew up we stopped for a quick cache and lunch. Well, the cache took a little while - after reading the logs we were ready for it to not be "readily apparent" so didn't give up too soon. We did need to use the hint, which was helpful without giving too much away. 3 of us searched for 10-15 mins. and were finally successful! I was surprised to see that the flies were still in the tin. Everything is still in great shape and dry. Thanks for a nice hide that put us in a great place to picnic. FSR211 is one of our favorite places to drive and Goose Creek is pretty any time of year. Signed log, took nothing, left 1 yen.

DNF avenged, as signed on the log. Took about 6 of us looking for it, but we found it. The one who found it actually has the least ammount of caching experience. As mentioned in our DNF log we looked for this last year on and off for three days. Thank you for placing a cache my kids can get to!
