Cache site is on FR 353 which is the Kingston Peak jeep trail. From the Alice side it could be driven in 2 wheel drive but might be a little difficult to turn around. Due to the forest overhead recievers tend to jump around a bit.
This is not the typical mountain cache. It is not hanging in a tree or under a couple rocks. Please be careful when you discover its hiding place and handle gently and rehide carefully. container is a round pastic container about 4" by 8".

I stopped and parked at the closed gate ahead sign, on my way up to look for a new hide.

Walked up to GZ and took a look around.

There it is!

Nice hide!

Thanks!

The Colorado Single Malt Duo snow shoed up to Lomie Point on Valentine's Day but the cache coordinates led us to where the snow was three feet deep. Maybe next month?

Bummer. We got our clues mixed up. Found the decoy can immediately, but didn't discover the true cache. Probably needed to spend a bit more time at it, but needed to catch back up with our (non-caching) group of 4x4 enthusiasts. Maybe next time.

Next time we'll take the trail... it was getting to late for today. We enjoyed the red herring. What an excellent hide... need to make this one a favorite. Just to make it a little easier for folks to find this one I offer the following to get you a bit closer:

Take I-70 west from Denver. Take the Fall River Road exit. Head north about 8.3 miles. Take a left onto Alice road. Take a right onto Harris drive. Take a right on to Nebraska drive. Take a left onto Hillside road. Take a right onto Hilltop road and follow it to the clue. By the way, the clue has physically been removed but there is something about 4x4ing at the same location.

We left the poncho as somebody is surely going to need it. There is some great history in this area especially around mining. TFTC TNLN

Went to explore the Kingston peak jeep trail with the kitty clan, our Geodog and Kiplynn of Kiplynn and Gladius. This was a funny find because in the bright sunlight I pulled the wrong hint off my phone. DOH! So we stumbled around looking for an ammo can under a rock. This cache is NOT an ammo can under a rock. oops. Well, Kiplynn's sharp eyes found the cleverly disguised cache in spite of my incorrect information. TFTC

Out Jeeping with ParadiceCache before the snow starts flying up here. Had a little trouble, finding the cache, thought we had it when we found the red herring, very funny! Eventually was successful. TNLN TFTC
