This cache is filled with little Xterra matchbox cars (to start). Coincidentally, it can be reached by 4x4 over rugged mountain trails.

The trail should be clear July through Early October.
Scenic tour through backcountry near Colorado Springs. There is simply no easy way to get to this one.

This cache can be reached on foot or via 4x4. If you opt to drive, be informed that conditions may vary on the FS route. This route is not for novice drivers, but is passable with a stock SUV. You will need, at a minimum the following:

* 4-low
* 31-inch tires (or 265's)

All terrain tires are recommended. Skid plates wouldn't hurt. A careful driver is essential.

Good luck!

Cheers,

-Jeff

!!!

"Just Straddle It" (the photo from June09 ) is where the Little S10 That Thought it could -- didn't get the chance. Someone with wheels& tires a lot bigger than mine did a lot of spinning deep holes into the loose stuff all around that ledge in the road. I just about-faced, parked & walked. .35 mi. ... But also nearly 300' down, according to the topo lines. My gpsr thought it correlated to a thousand feet a mile!!!
Kudos to you Jeepsters who blazed the way before!

HEY! Interesting: looks like it's my 500th cache find in Colorado

Thanks for another great cache. Took a little longer to find than it should have.

Found with Java Chip after a long hike from St Mary's Falls trail. Biggest challenge was navigating through all the two foot plus deep snow drifts that took up most of the road the last 3/4 mile. TFTC!
