We have been visiting a cache at this location for many years as it is in our “backyard” here in the Colorado Mountains. A few years ago we found it wet and useless. Then the cache box disappeared. Then the listing vanished.

Being a generally popular cache and close to home we decided to reestablish a cache at this amazing site.

Access is by snowshoe in winter (done it many times) by foot in summer (an hour's hike from the parking area) or by 4-wheel drive high clearance vehicle - also in summer.

Views of mountains (including several 14,000 foot peaks), high mountain lakes and beautiful valleys.

Gorgeous view, quick easy find.

I was able to drive up to the locked gate, sure glad there was room to turn around to head back down.

I had to hoof it the rest of the way.

Very interesting area, after signing the blank log, I had to explore the area for a while.
