After 3 days of irrigating on the farm I wanted a day away from the work so I had planned to get to Longmont and make another try for World of Hertz. But last night I saw notice of the publication of this cache and the other new screechybird cache along the Storm Mountain access roadways and made a quick change of plans. My puppies Orizaba and Chimborazo had a scheduled "play date" with other dogs, including their two St. Bernard buddies, so I needed to wait for that walk/play time around the farm to end before we got underway. It sprinkled on us as we drove to Big T Canyon and then up onto the flanks of Storm Mountain, but it was too light a rain to be of concern. This cache took me MUCH longer to locate than it should have, due to a great deal of "bounce" in the satellite signal in the confines of the canyon. Finally I pulled this in, opened the large container (yes! It IS large all right, and heavy!) and signed the log notebook in the {FTF} position. Took the peacock puzzle as a FTF prize. Denali50 and I will complete the puzzle and then I'll place it in another cache. Thanks for this interesting adventure, screechybird!
