This cache is in memory of "Old Silver" the Grizzly Bear.

Colorado Grizzlies were BIG! A hundred years ago, when giant bears still roamed the Colorado Mountains, legends grew about some of the Huge Beasts, there was "Old Mose" and "Old Sachem." Then there was "Old Silver"' he lived in the northern part of Coloradro. "Old Silver" was killed in 1902, with a weight of 1,171 pounds, the bear would stand at 10 feet 4 inches tall!

This area is full of old mining activity; be careful of mine shafts and other earthworks!

Ammo can chained to tree.

It’s about time I got up to Sunset City Gulch to hunt for all the caches up here. When I first approached the area I was dismayed. I hate rock piles. But it didn’t take long to find so I was happy again. I swapped trackables and left some of my Get Out of Hell Free cards. Someone had left a container of marijuana so I dumped it out—not an appropriate item for a geocache. I covered this up a little better. It was pretty much out in the open. How did you find this cool spot? Favorite added for both awesome container and location.

We did this one the hard way, over the top! Saw some native tarantulas on the slope coming down as well! TFTC, and the "interesting" treat!

Beautiful sunny August day. Interesting to see all the former prospecting activity in the area. Cache in good shape. Thanks.

Another beautiful Christmas day in Colorado!
Came out for the fresh air and a nice hike! No bears in December... they are sleeping.
Took geocoin, left some swag and a TB

All of the caches in this little wilderness study area were fantastic. We decided to take the advantage of a nice day to find them. Once my phone stopped bumping us around, we made the find. Cache is in good shape, aside from some cobwebs. We took the geocoins and left some marbles, funky colored beads, and cool looking rocks. SL, TFTC!
