The Rocky Mountains, commonly known as the Rockies, are a major mountain range in western North America. The Rocky Mountains stretch more than 3,000 miles (4,800 km) from the northernmost part of British Columbia, in western Canada, to New Mexico, in the southwestern United States. They were initially formed from 80 million to 55 million years ago. After Europeans, such as Sir Alexander Mackenzie and Americans, such as the Lewis and Clark expedition, started to explore the range, minerals and furs drove the initial economic exploitation of the mountains. This cache is dedicated to the Rocky Mountains, one of my favorite and most comforting places to be. 0.8 miles south of Green Mountain Falls, CO Coordinates: N38 55.592 W105 00.562 This cache is big enough for small trackables. To be safe, please bring your own pen.

We searched the area for 15 to 20 minutes and had no luck. Decided to call it and move on.

Too many hiding spots in this area. It took us quite a while to find it. We also didn't know about the trail, but we'll be back some other time. Left a TB for the next cacher to move along. Tftc.

A muggle friend was interested in visiting the musical swings, and then suggested that we look for a cache. Awesome! It was a nice walk from the center of town to the cache location, but was a little more convoluted than I expected. Lucky for me my friend is very patient. We searched for several minutes at the coordinates and were thinking that maybe we wouldn't get this one. There was a lot of bounce in the area and the find was about 20 ft. from indicated. But - WOOHOO - my friend found her first ever cache! She says she may have to take up a new hobby. Took nothing, left yen, signed log. Thanks psych01 for placing this cache so that we can play!

Waiting for some friends before going up Pikes Peak. Not too bad. Left a pathtag. Thanks!
