NO DUMPING

There is a nice big place to park for this one, but it can get very muddy when wet.

Look around until you see a faint trail. You won’t have to hike very far up it.

This is the second of a series of micros along the Oak Creek Grade. There are seven colors in the Rainbow Series, starting with Silver and ending with Gold. Plus, there is one last bonus cache at the end.

There are a few cache types that I really don’t like:

1 – Micro tubes in general

2 – Tubes hanging in trees

3 – Caches with no room for trade items or trackables.

Does this one break those rules?

This is barely more than a Park and Grab.

Congratulations Nancy's Paws on first to find!

TFTC This took way longer than it should’ve and one has to be somewhat of a contortionist to retrieve it and replace it

On the way down to this one we ended up behind a car clearly doing their best to get down the hill and it was quite obvious they weren't comfortable with it. That hill is sketchy on a good day and was especially washboardy today. We hung back and let 'em take it slow, which was still respectable, and the speed limit anyway, and we kept an eye out for oncoming traffic. A little mountain courtesy and backroad etiquette goes a long way, costs you nothing, and gets everyone down safely. You never know the driver's or there vehicle's condition. We did notice a white pickup catching up to us in the mirrors. Next thing we know we've got an idiot in a white Jeep right off our bumper, swerving, and holding his horn, having already passed the white pickup. He eventually goes by us and actually uses the ditch to pass the struggling vehicle. Probably saved himself one minute at best. Pictures do no justice to how sketchy this idiot made the situation. Anyone who's driven it knows that hill isn't one to play on. And as soon as it levels back out there is plenty of passing room and pull offs. Struggling driver and white truck did continue on safely and we stopped for the cache. More wildflowers and Another trail I'll be back for.
