A spot off Balanced Rock Road with a spectacular view of North Monument Creek. It is tucked under the edge of a large boulder and hidden behind some rocks. There is a good trail from the parking coords listed below. It is about 0.8 miles from the parking spot to the cache and the trail could be ridden on a mountain bike most of the way. I have included a spoiler photo.

While placing a cache on the north side of this valley, Estes01 and I looked to the south and started to wonder if we could get to the pile of rocks on the south side. We got there but didn't find a location with anything like the view at the spot where we hid the cache. The picture below is the rock pile as seen from the north side of the valley. The cache is up the ridge to the right of the picture.



If you look across the valley to the north you can see the area of the cache that inspired this one, No Leap Required. It's about 1/4 of the way from the right edge of the photo.

Wow! I can't believe how few people have found this cache. A couple shortly after it first published, 2013, 2015, and today. Cache is in perfect condition still. Gorgeous views. I loved spending time on the hike and just hanging out at the cache for a bit. Thanks for placing a cache to entice us down this trail!

I am glad to look over to the north and know that I found both of them.

Less then an hour ago I was looking over here.

Nice hiking trail to this one.

Had to chuckle when I read snailman1's log, as that's exactly what I thought when I was at No Leap Required yesterday... Enjoyed the pleasant walk and great views from the cache location - thanks!

Followed the old road down to this one. Looks like someone took a saw to some trees at GZ, I suppose to improve the view. No Leap Required was on 0.3 miles away as the crow flies, but the terrain would be way too rough to attempt from this vantage point. There is a nice view from here. TFTC!

Wow! I can't believe more cachers haven't done these caches off Balanced Rock Road yet. Fun 4WD road, but also a very nice hike and the views are spectacular. Well, the summer is still young.
