Dogs  Recommended for kids  Takes less than an hour  Scenic view  No Camping available

Located off Rampart Range Rd., In Pike National Forest, approx. halfway between Woodland Park and Colorado Springs. This road offers some of the most spectacular views in the Pikes Peak area. The hike to the cache is only 75-100 ft., up a small hill. Children should have no problem with the climb.
If you are not familiar with this road, it is posted as "Not maintained for low clearance vehicles". Most SUVs and higher vehicles should have no problem most of the time.
If you drive down from the top, the road is in better shape. It's around 25 miles either driving from Woodland Park, and back, or driving on down to the Springs. The bottom half is a little rockier, but you do end up right at the Garden of the Gods Park. Either way you travel, you will be treated to some of the most awesome views in the area.

DISCLAIMER: Please, use your best judgement and discretion in determining if your vehicle is appropriate for this road.

The cache is located a couple hundred feet off of the road, next to a group of campsites, on a forest road. This road should be no problem for any vehicle fit to be on the main road. Note: It appears that camping is not allowed on this side of the road, at the present time.

You are looking for a 1 gallon clear plastic jug, with a white lid.
This is Cheyennes first cache, so she got to choose the theme. She happens to like animals(what little girl doesn't?), so she decided she wants to start a Zoo. We have started with some stuffed animals, some plastic animals(cool tiger!), a rubber duck, a Travel Bug, and some other animal related items. Also, something cool for the first to find. Please keep to the theme, and trade only animal related items. Please hide the cache exactly as you found it, and report any problems you observe.

Catching up on my ridiculous amount of logs that have accumulated for months on end.

Found with Back Country Horsemen. This was a wonderful day for a nice hike and a lot of these caches presented a good challenge so for that I thank you.

I signed a challenge earlier this year that required a large amount of caches to be found and I’m finally at the home stretch. Making a hard push at the end of the month here since weather is in my favor and trying to get this thing wrapped up before years end.

All is well here with the cache and log.

Some may call me seriously mentally ill. Some may state that I am in a state of mind that prevents social interaction. Some may say I am in a state of mind that prevents normal perception and or behavior. I prefer to say that I tend to do the same thing over and over again, but I expect different results. That being said, I believe we only live one life and I am trying to make the best of it. I thank you, Rookies2001 for placing a fun geocache to fuel my "insanity" or addiction as I call it. I appreciate you bringing me here so that I can try and sign my alias on a piece of paper that you have hidden.

I look forward to finding more of your geocaches. I also look forward to potentially finding geocaches with you one day and sharing stories of our insanity... I mean hobby or addiction? Cheers!

Another awesome hike out and back with the J of KJKlock. We made our way to each one, taking breaks where necessary for me to catch my breathe. I noted that I'm needing fewer breaks on the uphill slopes than I used to. Although parts of the route slowed us down quite a bit, we made pretty good time. I'm just really glad to finally get back out into nature! Got too lazy there for a while.

Found this while on the peppers series...

THanks for the cache!

TFTC I joined nicehice this morning for a bit of caching along Rampart Range road. It is a beautiful cool sunny day.

We found your cache in good shape. There is now a fence blocking off this side road, but there are no signs restricting personal access.
