Wolff Street was named after a civil war General as is many of the streets nearby, my home growing up is just north up the street a few houses. 

My parents purchased and had this home built for them in 1956 and remained there till passing in the early 80's.  I was a youngest at three when we moved in. Cornell was a dirt street for a few years, the area south of this cache was a large dirt field till the houses were built in 1957-8 and my school built at that time. 

I walked by this GZ daily going to Sabin Elementary School for 6 years, kindergarten to sixth grade. In the summer months we would head south across the fields to Bear Creek and play in the water and surf the water under Sheridan Blvd.  Great fun, just be home before the street lights turned on back home.
