BYOP This POI is for "Birds, Bees and Cottonwood Trees", but I find it more interesting for Dorsey RR Siding. Dorsey Lighthizer (1911-1956) was born in the Elk Head area North of Hayden to a locally well-known family. The entire family was interested in raising and racing horses. Dorsey once sold a horse to Eleanor Roosevelt, wife of President FDR. Dorsey worked at the Mt. Harris coal mine running hoists up and down the shafts with horses and mules.

Okay, so Mrs. rockymtn8iv & I decided to go back and try Fork L Mans coords.
Surprised & surprised by a garter snake under a nearby rock, but we had cache in hand in minutes. Kinda surprised we didn't spot 'er yesterday.

Searched around and under for this one for quite a bit before giving up to the rain.
Never did get to check out the info kiosks.
I wish we'd have seen Fork L Man's log sooner.
There was a rotten Elk carcass at GZ which was kind of a bummer,
Don't know if it crawled up under there to die or if it was some kind of nefarious deal.
Wasn't interested in poking around.
At any rate, we'll be back and try Fork L Man's coord.s next time.
