Looked for about half an hour and got deterred by a marmot

Quite a little side trip we took to reach this cache. We started off following the trail when we kept getting farther and farther away. When we got half mile away we decided to just bushwhack toward the cache. This was the right thing to do or we would have never found the cache.
It seems the trail has been rerouted since this cache was placed. We looked for a while at ground zero and finally made the find.
The views in this area were amazing and the weather was divine.
Thanks for adding to our fun

The trail has certainly moved. We walked until we were a half mile away and decided to bushwhack our way back. Found the cache and much better views on this trail.
When you see the first sign for the trail (0.1mi) take a slight right and it'll put you on an old trail with great views. Cache was in good shape and had just enough room for a small signature skull. Did I mention great views?

It took my husband and I awhile to find this because the trail has been rerouted and the new trail kept leading us away from the cache. We finally backtracked and found the original trail, and followed it to the cache. The cache is in good condition. We found three caches today and this one was our favorite. TFTC!

Found with Cache U. Still some snow on the ground, but as advertised this is findable year-round. Thanks for the fun!

Found with Sam_I_AM during a trip to Red Feathers Lake. Cache is as described in the hint, very cute. Thanks for the nice outing!

How cute! Hubby and I cached in the Dowdy Lake area this morning. After we found the caches it was still early and we still had energy so we drove to the trail head and took the short walk. We disturbed a bunch of cows in the cache vicinity and watched us very closely while we looked. TFTC
