Greetings from the UK. We are on our holidays!!!
Day 1: The start of our 12 day road trip around Colorado, Utah and Wyoming (a geocaching road trip from Denver to Yellowstone and back again) began with an upgrade to business on our 9hr flight ? from London, which is always nice. Found our AirBnB . Without any trouble and nipped out to find a cache to get us up and running.
Day 2: Set of this morning, to cache and around Denver, quick stop for a proper American breakfast at the Denver Biscuit company, in Atomic Shack. We discovered that the best way to get around was by car , so ended up doing more cache and dashes than planned and managed to pick up a parking violation (1/3) – missed the street cleaning sign!! And a little later Diz dropped her camera and broke it (2/3). However, after lunch as the weather was gorgeous we decided to leave the city any we missed could be picked up at the end of our road trip, and head out to the Mount Evans scenic route. This was great fun, stopped off in Idaho Springs – fabulous Waterfall here, and a very helpful information centre lady , talked us through the scenic route, and then we cache and dashed along the scenic highway, still snow ?on some of the higher ground. Saw a fox , who got a little too close for comfort and also took a short walk to see the Bison. Ended the day with a trip to a TB hotel, in Downtown, to drop off a couple of TBs from the UK and collect a few to take with us on our trip. The 3rd mishap of the day, led us getting Diz’s meal for free at a restaurant as they managed to mess up her pizza order . C’est la vie. We had a great time overall and found 21 caches today.
Day 3: Today we decided to take a slow drive out of Denver, collecting a few caches
on the way as we headed to Colorado Springs. Breakfasted at the Delectable Egg, staged via Walmart to buy Diz a replacement camera and took the slow road out. Weather still lovely . Had fun collecting a few chosen caches, that will help us meet other challenge caches, including a 5/5 and a TB hotel. Made a snap decision as we entered Colorado Springs to head out to collect some virtuals and earthcaches , which meant we discovered the amazing Garden of the Gods – very helpful man ??? in the Trading post too, and the pretty town of Manitou Springs. We then decided to head West to collect a few more challenge caches, and then headed to our Air BnB . Set out for dinner at Alchemy, a Gastro Pub on their recommendation – which was inspired, as the had star wars day specials and the waitress was in costume , great Mac n Cheese and Boba Fett and the thermal detonators – also staged via the amazing Memorial park for a few more virtuals and ended on a traditional in the carpark neat the pub.

This took us a while, we guessed the correct code, but had not quite got it aligned. Onc in, swapped some TNs, 2 in, 3 out to tak with us on our travels. Fave point as great little cache and we saw deer!!
TFTC and May the ‘for?th’ be with you!!

I convinced Atomic Corgi to visit one more cache for the day and this was it. We made the short drive over and actually along the way, we saw a family of deer that was sitting along the road. Those are the most relaxed deer that I've ever seen.

Once we arrived, we made the walk over to the cache and this was a quick spot. Atomic Corgi actually figured out what the lock combination was supposed to be and I hadn't even put that together yet haha. What a nice area of houses, and what a great day to be outside.

Ended up taking two TB's with me to be moved in the future. Signed the log, snapped a picture, and we were then on our way. After leaving, I got back out of the car and walked over to the group of deer with hope that I would be able to pet them. They let me get about 5 feet from them but then were a little too scared. Still though, that's the closest I've ever been! I need to start carrying carrots around with me or something.

TFTC SL!

This was a great geocaching day! While @WindAtMyBack was working in Parker, I decided to hit the trails looking for special caches... difficult, Earthcaches, Virtuals, highly favorited, and ones placed by my friends. The day ended with a mail call to pick up my new pathtags.
Very clever container. I finally met the CO after finding several of his difficult caches. Great guy! Dropped on TB and discovered the other two. Tftc!
