This cache is the third in a series of caches chronicling the travels of the famous Coney Island Hot Dog. It was moved here in April, 2006 - hopefully it will stay for many years to come!

The cache is a traditional ammo can. Please watch out for muggles while finding/replacing the cache. The Hot DogWas put here in 2006 for hopefully many more years of memories! The cache contains a camera. Please take a pic of your your party/critters etc. at the hot dog and after the camera is full, I will publish the pictures here. The cache also contains a separate story book where each person can add a sentence to an ever-growing story. Periodically, I will publish that here too.

UPDATE - I justretrieved the third cache camera and they'll be more pix uploaded shortly! - see the image gallery for all of the pics. Feel free to add your own pics to this - I want to see how many we can get!

TFTC! This was a quick park and grab about 10 this morning. There is no camera. We have ate here before but it was closed this morning.

Missing camera. Where it puts you you are within 20 feet of it! Watch out for the private property there

I spotted a likely hiding place before I even parked, but the container description and my GPSr led me elsewhere. I finally decided to check on that first beacon, and sure enough that s where found the container. This one has the original log; nice job and TFTC!

They open at 11 on Saturday’s but I’m not sure I would have the stomach for a hot dog from New York, even if I had time to wait. Found this cache while getting this Atlas Obscura. The river is moving surprisingly fast. I’m taking a trip down to Great Sand Dunes National Park for the weekend before flying back home and the only thing I could use right now is a coffee, from New York or Colorado. Haven’t seen an ammo can in quite some time; it’s a relief to find a non-micro to be honest. I wonder where the hot dog stand will go next but I suspect that this may be its final resting place. Thanks for the cache. What’s the abbreviation when you don’t sign the log?

Update: editing the logbook to make mention that this a fitting cache for my 69th find.

That was so much fun! Almost couldn't get box open, but finally did. Log slightly soggy. No camera in cache. Forgot pen, couldn't sign log. TFTC ?
