Figured this trail could use a couple more caches! Carried a few options on a hike today and this host called to this specific container. Located within a few feet of the trail.

Encountered many puppies along the way without hearing a single bark. Happy caching!

A nice day for a 2.0 mile hike from the top/west Apex trailhead. I caught a glint of sun on this one as I was about to move to another host. Cheers!

I had come out here yesterday morning with bad cell phone coverage and not enough time. As GD mentioned in his log, the coordinates did not put me on a clear host. I spent a bit of time scurrying around seeing if I could spot anything. I couldn't pull up the cache page to gather any more information. Sadly (though as it turns out for the better) I had to walk away empty. When I got home I took a look at the page.

I came back this morning armed with the additional information I had gathered. I was certain I knew the correct host. Not to be Captain Obvious: It makes a huge difference to look at the correct host. I found the container within a few minutes of getting on site. I'm glad to fill in another day on my FTF calendar.

Bummer dude! Well we certainly barked up all of the wrong trees. After scoring a FTF behind us, the puppy and I decided to make a run at this one. GZ put us smack dab in the middle of the trail and we went up and down both hillsides next to the trail strip searching everything three times that resembled the hint. We had a somewhat limited amount of time and after twenty minutes of searching we had to call it off. I'll keep an eye on it, and come back soon....
