I parked in the neighborhood below and headed on up. I read logs last night and was prepared for a bit of a search. I was pleasantly surprised to find it pretty quickly! Other than needing a new coat of camo tape the cache is in great shape. Thanks for the smiley! Find #3505.
Have a quiet weekend so I decided to grab a few for the 360 degrees of Colorado challenge. Hopped in the car kinda early and headed south. When I started out it was 64 degrees and sunny, the rain rolled in and it dropped down to 48 in a hurry. I enjoyed my hikes today, lots of flowers, rocks, cactus and birds to look at. I'll probably hit a few more tomorrow, it will be awesome to get to below 100 red rays!

I decided to climb the hills in this area, even though it was quite chilly outside. My dog Jack loves being up here and we practically had the mountain to ourselves. I had see the trouble others have had with this cache and wasn't sure what to expect. We parked in the neighborhood below the cache and hiked up. I saw some likely hiding spots, but nothing was materializing. I wasn't going to start off this portion of our morning with a DNF though.
After scouring the likely spot and coming up empty, I decided to expand my search a little bit. And that did the trick! I found the original container (as you can see from all the logs) and it's just sitting out waiting to be found. It's definitely not a micro so if you're not spotting it, just keeping looking around and checking out other likely areas. You're guaranteed to find it! (unless it's been muggled)

Out getting some degree caches. Since the one I found had the travelbug that T5M dropped, I assume I didn't find (or even look for) the one turtleboy29 put out. Great view from the top. TFTC!

Since at least 3 other cachers have replaced this cache, for my first time ever (and after 2 dnfs in a row) to replace with container from lostindenver' s CITO event. So there are now potentially 5 caches here. I could only find the one I hid. Beautiful views here except for huge mcmansions. TFTC

Nice hike on a sunny February afternoon. Took about 15 minutes of searching. And expanding the search area quite a bit. Did not find a replacement but found the original cache with log dating back to 2012.
Sun is going down so I’ll have to come back again for the rest of the series.
