This historical spot commemorates two Franciscan Fathers, Dominquez & Escalante. They searched for an overland trail to go from Spanish villages in New Mexico to Spanish missions in California.

The coordinates will get you to the starting place for finding this cache. The bronze plaque telling the story of Dominquez and Escalante has the information you will need. Divide the year they traveled this trail by 25. The answer will give you the number of feet to the cache. Take a heading of 240 degrees from the monument. Enjoy the hunt.
When hidden the cache contained: key chain flashlight, water squirt gun,hacky sack, carabineer key chain, pair of dice and Olie the Goalie TB. Olie wants to visit all of the cities that have National Hockey League teams. He carries a list of the cities he hopes to visit.

We were on the way home from T-ride trying to decide if we were going to stay the night in Durango so while we were waffling, we stopped for a few cached. Nice quick one gets a favorite point!

We had tried to find a cache this morning that required projecting a waypoint, and couldn't figure out how to do it on our newer GPS. When we got here, we looked at options again and finally figured out how to do it! And found this awesome fun cache. Thanks for helping us learn a new skill today!!

Fresh off of an amazing Giga trip, the fun wasn't over yet. We had one more little side run planned since we had time and we made the most of it. I would say I am cached out but I do not believe there is such a thing lmao. TFTC!

On our way back to Phoenix after a quick trip to complete the Buena Vista GeoTour. We saw this multi and had to stop and grab it!

Like a true geocacher, we found the easy trail to the cache on the way back to the car! Lid didn’t want to budge, but we did manage to open her up. What a cool hide! Gets a favorite here :)
