This is a puzzle cache. The physical cache is not at the above listed coordinates. In order to locate the cache you must decipher the true coordinates from the puzzle below. Good luck.

This is one of fourteen caches that make up the Western Sky portion of the Path of the Zodiac series of caches. Thirteen of the caches composing this portion represent the thirteen constellations that occupies the ecliptic that defines the Western Zodiac. The fourteenth cache, Path of the Zodiac: The Western Sky, can only be located after the initial thirteen caches in the portion have been located and the clues they contain gathered. The order in which these thirteen caches are found does not matter, but finding all of them is a requirement to seek out and log the fourteenth cache.

In mythology, the constellation of Aquarius took on various identities. From Ganymede, cup-bearer of the gods, to a representation of Hercules' labor in cleaning the Augean stables in which was accomplished by diverting the waters of the rivers Alpheus and Peneus.

Just like the labors faced by Hercules, your challenge here will be both mental and physical. First, you must solve the Riddle of Aquarius, and then seek out the cache. Are you up to the challenge?

Riddle of Aquarius

NOTE: This puzzle used data available prior to October of 2009. It has been brought to my attention that using some currently available data might not match up with what is required to get the proper coordinates. I'll need to change/update this puzzle, but until then keep this issue in mind. -- EC 7Aug2010

When you find the cache remember to record the clue contained inside the container. You'll need it if you are looking to complete the full series.

Outside of providing a coordinate checker for each puzzle, I will not give personal help, hints, etcetera until the whole of the Path of the Zodiac series have been completed by a few cachers. It's the only fair way to do it as completing this series should be considered something of an accomplishment and making it to the end should go to those who make it there on their own devices. Cachers that have worked out a puzzle are discouraged from giving much away if asked for help in order to keep up the level of challenge provided by this series.

I had no idea that I would ever be here to find these when another cacher suggested that I might enjoy solving them. As luck would have it, the stars aligned and I found myself in the position to find some of these today.

The find and the solve were pretty straight forward which was especially nice in the heat today. TFTC

Being #1 and all, this was the first puzzle that I took a shot at and was able to solve. Many moons later, I came out for the find. This was my first time in this area and I was on foot but it looked to be a great place for a bike or cycle in the future. I was surprised at the mixed methods of transportation allowed on the same trails. Grabbed pathtag to move on down the line. Thanks.

This puzzle made some sense to my single remaining brain cell fairly quickly. Wish they were all this straight forward. Cache in great shape. I seem to be following Jasperdakota around the area, albeit, a year later. TFTC.

Solved this one quickly. Found on nice hike with geodog Dakota. Managed to solve 6 of the series before visiting this weekend from Denver. Left heartstone and a pathtag. Thanks for the fun puzzle series! SL.

This was the cache that started me down the path. I looked at it and solved it rapidly (if only they all had gone that fast). Once I'd completed this one I moved on to other caches and was generally blown away by them. A great cache series. TFTC.
