15TH Anniversary Stash

This is a really nice area for a hike.
The trail is easy to follow and it is a gradual climb.
You have to cross the stream 4 or 5 times untill you get about 250 Ft from the cache
and then the stream runs right down the trail!!
That's the reason for the high Terrain Rating.

This is a puzzle cache.

The container is NOT at the posted coordinates.

You must first solve the

PUZZLE

to get the final coordinates.

It didn't take too long for us to figure this one out, but when we came upon the cache it was out in the open. We hide it a little better than we found it. Took a penny, left a couple of gear buttons. Not too much water to cross right now. SL, TFTC!

Fun puzzle, but that first question really threw me. I was just sure that the answer to question A was 8. BigSmile What a hike! It was a beautiful day to geocache, and this is the last day I needed to complete the June Challenge. There was not as much water as I thought there would be, and I stayed dry the entire hike. I got a late start today, and half way up I was seriously contemplating going back and trying this another day. I pushed on and finally got there, but I don't think I could have made it much farther. I think the trees were seriously jerking both my Garmin & iPhone around, but after checking the hint I zeroed in on a likely spot and found the nice container right out in the open. There was some dampness inside--more like condensation--and I dried everything out before putting it back. I took the geocoin and left two old wheat straw pennies and some Get Out of Hell Free cards. I re-hid the container the way it seemed like it should be. The hike back down was a whole lot easier than the hike up. I wanted to grab the other nearby puzzle, but haven't cracked it yet. I had an idea on the hike up here, but couldn't get any reception to check it. Thanks for a fun puzzle and a tough hike on a trail I have never been on before. At least now I have an excuse to go back.

I hiked up to this one next because I got a "Success" , but not on the other one yet.

Fun hide to hunt for, back in a very cool area.

Thanks!

Now to figure out what I did wrong on the other puzzle, with no service back in here!
