This is an easy geocache near Pitkin, Colorado
A large group from the Rocky Tops square-dance club, located in Denver, went to Pitkin for the week-end to host a murder mystery at the Pitkin Hotel. Yeah, there actually is a hotel there and an interesting place to stay. Check it out.

Each person from the group contributed to the cache and I don’t recall what went into it so you are on your own. There is a logbook, pencil and sharpener. Please leave these in the cache.

The cache is hard to see but should be easy to find with the hint. Please rehide it as well as you find it. The container is about a gallon, plastic and painted gray.

 Hints

Cross the bridge and look right. There are some rocks. It is behind a rock and close to the trees.
Well, it is behind the rock if you are on the treeless side.

We decided to get our family members in on the geocaching bug on this one. We took our 4-year old son, his grandparents and great aunt and uncle who are all in Pitkin this summer. They all had a good time and Aunt Debbie gets the prize for finding it first out of the group of us.

The pen (that a previous cacher left) and log were still in good shape. We took a tiny toy horse and left a mini Paw Patrol "Rubble" figurine of our son's choosing.

P.S. We did not invite the flies and mosquitos, they came uninvited. :)

Box is old but in good shape. Pencil and sharpener are long gone but I left a pen. Contents are in a ziplock bag.

Tftc. We had fun finding it. Almost gave up after looking too closely at rocks too close to the road/bridge. Hints about pine tree and actually trusting the gps app tool helped us!
