what a fun day of caching. thanks so much for placing all of these to find! we’re camping in estes but we wanted to hike with our dog so this was a fun trail for us! tnlnsl

Great first cache of the day. We parked at the waypoint provided and found the trail and this cache. However being unfamiliar with the area and the trails and that there is a creek, we discussed our option of either returning the way we came or wading through. It didn't take Mrs. Mountaineer long she went right across (Shoes and socks on) with our geo golden retriever Honey Bear that loves finding geocaches along with swimming in the creek. I took my shoes and socks off and joined them on the other side. Because our truck was parked on the side of the road we did 9 miles and enjoyed the entire hike. TFTH and taking us on this adventure.

My GPS was a little bouncy here so I looked in the trees and stumps but my efforts came up empty handed around ground zero. I expanded my search and still couldn't locate the cache. Had to walk away with a frowned face on this one.

What a great day. I set up an event to hike to Milller’s Rock and make the loop gathering all the caches in this area. I woke at 5am to prepare and get to the event at 7am. Made it with no issues and was eventually though out the event greeted by AbvAge, nickgatt, Team Tiger Pride, and Pyrusticia giving us six crazy cachers for the hike.

After the event was over we headed up the hill for a fun filled day of laughter, fun, pain, and smiles on our geomaps to compete our day. Here are some of the stats on our hike

Total hiking time 4 hours
Covered 7 miles
Lowest elevation 7900 feet
Highest Elevation 8700 feet
Elevation gain over hike 1800 feet
Gathered 28 caches including the event.
Sore feet 12
