The mine sounded intriguing, so we headed up on a Saturday morning. We resisted the temptation to explore the mine though it looked pretty coll. Unfortunately the cache was waterlogged and the log is pretty much ruined. We didn't have anything to replace it with :(

I turned this place upside down and inside out. GPS unit said I was standing right on top of it, but no luck! Either this was taken out or it was VERY well hidden. Interesting place though and a fun adventure. Love discovering new place. Thanks!

Great first cache of the day. We parked at the waypoint provided and found the trail and this cache. However being unfamiliar with the area and the trails and that there is a creek, we discussed our option of either returning the way we came or wading through. It didn't take Mrs. Mountaineer long she went right across (Shoes and socks on) with our geo golden retriever Honey Bear that loves finding geocaches along with swimming in the creek. I took my shoes and socks off and joined them on the other side. Because our truck was parked on the side of the road we did 9 miles and enjoyed the entire hike. TFTH and taking us on this adventure.

First to sign the actual log since Brasarus in 2016.

Enjoyed this cache location. Really wanted to explore in the mine but held myself back as I didn't know if it is considered 'private'.

Found GC3J04M - -TwoCs- The Shaft, on August 15, 2017 using Cachly for iOS.

Thank you, -TwoCs- for placing a fun cache for all of us to enjoy and giving back to the community. I look forward to finding more of your caches. I also look forward to potentially finding Geocaches with you one day and sharing stories of our hobby or should I say addiction? Cheers!

Cool spot. Very close to the property line, so don't stray too far away. There was some weird noise that I kept hearing... I was thinking maybe there's a old trail camera or motion detector set up nearby... or I was being paranoid. I don't know, but I never actually saw anyone and logged the cache without incident.
