this one was fun, and really cool. I love finding bearing trees and survey markers, always a fan of the USGS and Forest Service. Roads around here are a little confusing as are private property boundaries, so tread carefully. TFTC!

Great first cache of the day. We parked at the waypoint provided and found the trail and this cache. However being unfamiliar with the area and the trails and that there is a creek, we discussed our option of either returning the way we came or wading through. It didn't take Mrs. Mountaineer long she went right across (Shoes and socks on) with our geo golden retriever Honey Bear that loves finding geocaches along with swimming in the creek. I took my shoes and socks off and joined them on the other side. Because our truck was parked on the side of the road we did 9 miles and enjoyed the entire hike. TFTH and taking us on this adventure.

Editing my log because I thought this was a different cache. Whoops!
Quick find today while in route for a target cache. Found cache quickly on my ATV. All is well here with the cache and log.
Found GC3J04V - -TwoCs- Bearing Tree, on August 15, 2017 using Cachly for iOS.
Thank you, -TwoCs- for placing a fun cache for all of us to enjoy and giving back to the community. I look forward to finding more of your caches. I also look forward to potentially finding Geocaches with you one day and sharing stories of our hobby or should I say addiction? Cheers!

Out on an adventure to the great north with CrumbCrunchers today. Try as we might to find a good driving access to this area we failed. On the third attempt we found a reasonable access spot. We wondered around just a bit as there seems to be a plentiful amount of Bearing Trees right here. After a few minutes we zeroed in on the right location and made the find. Signed and stamped the log and replaced as found. On to the next cache!

Stopped for this quick cache while in the area. Curious as to how or why the public land is just an access point through private lands. Sl, thanks!
