Great day for a geocaching hike about. The trails were quiet this morning and quite enjoyable. Quick find and sign. Thanks.

Our failed attempt to reach Elephant Butte turned into a nice 4.3 mile loop around 3 Sisters. Another good rest stop for the kids.

Beautiful day hiking with my hiking group. While sitting and having lunch on the Mountain Muhly Trail out of curiosity I checked to see if there were any geocaches in the Park with my iPhone. I was astounded to see that there were so many and realized I should have checked this before I even arrived! Well, I discovered that the "Dutch Apple Pie" cache was just .1 of a mile from where I was sitting so I, of course, just had to go check it out. I'll have to come back on my own and pick up all the other caches as it is too difficult to hunt for caches while hiking with a group of people you are supposed to stay up with. Smile
