One of a series of caches recognizing figures from Pueblo's early days.
Jacob Fowler along with Hugh Glenn in 1821 led a party of trappers to a camp on the north side of the Arkansas near the present town of Fowler. After a few weeks Glenn and some of the men left for Santa Fe while Fowler and the rest of the group set up another camp on the south side of the Arkansas a mile or two below the mouth of Fountain Creek, then moved again a few weeks later across the river to the present site of Pueblo. When Glenn's group returned, the whole party left for Santa Fe.
