It’s about time I got up here to finish off this series. I wasn’t expecting this to be so far off the trail, but it is in a really safe spot. This took longer than it should have. I Searched the wrong host, then another wrong host, and finally the right host. I took a different route back to the trail and saw an old mining claim stake on the way down. This container is in perfect condition. Thanks for a great start on a day of caching.

We enjoyed solving the puzzles for this series. But we liked the hike even more. Still some old snow and ice on the trail. Mostly a lot of muck to deal with. Quite a steep little hike and as usual we found a better way to get back to the trail after the find. Lots of old mine sightings in the area. Nice. This one deserves a favorite.

A long walk and a steep climb; the way I went should be more than a T2. Anyway, if you want an easy route start at the gulch downstream of the cache at N38*24.392 W105*25.720 and follow the bulldozer track to N38*24.409 W105*25.760 and at about N38*24.415 x 105*25.816 look for the switchback uphill to the left. Yup, I discovered it on the way back down.

I wish I'd had more time, it looks like someone has done some prospecting around the area, but the clouds were building and I wanted to get back to my car before it got worse. As it was it was sprinkling rain a little for the last quarter mile of the walk.

Thanks for the series, I hope to get more up here before winter sets in. Signed the log and left a virtual fossil tooth.

Ftf at 1023. We had a nice little scramble up the hill, I always seem to pick a steep path even on flat ground. Enjoyed this series and the hike. Tftc
