There are several spots along Highway 40 where remnants of a more relaxed less hurried time exist. These spots meander off the straight and narrow new highway system and are from a time in history where how fast you got there didn't matter as much as the freedom of being able to travel. This remnant also existed because the cars and trucks of yesteryear didn't have the power provided by today's higher powered vehicles, which explains the gentler climb up the hill. The Coordinates to the container with the log are in the first container at the coordinates listed on this page. Have fun! Please use care in replacing the containers. Cache should be available from late spring to mid fall. Don't forget the Waymarks!

I’m on a 1-week trip from Colorado to California and return to attend a family function. Along the way I’m finding selective caches that have specific interest to me. The drive has been a bit uncomfortable because of the blazingly high temperatures along the way, especially in western Wyoming, across much of Utah, and across northern Nevada. Thank goodness for an air conditioner in my car that is functioning so well! I’ve considered driving right past certain of my targeted caches because the heat has been so oppressive. But in each case I decided to give it a try and have braved the outdoor conditions! I’m glad that I did, because I found some cool caches. I’m thankful to the cache owners of all the caches I located along the trip.

I found this on my final day of travel, as the last cache of the entire trip. It is a nice cache to complete the trip with, and was a year "lonely" as of yesterday. Thanks for it, cocoalminer!

Holy cow! 2014 is the last time this one's been logged online! It's actually a pretty easy one, and we found the benchmark too! We've just never looked for this one because we are always down here in the snow! Thanks!

Wow, this caches wasn't logged for nearly two years!! Seems that there has to be some Swiss-Guys, who come up to find this box. :-)

Today, we just have nothing on our schedule than driving to Steamboat Springs, so there's plenty of time to do some caches on the road. Most of the boxes, we found very quickly and that's good, because it was really hot outside. Greetins from the Swiss-Guys and TFTH.
