Turn off your TV and get off your couch. Now you have over 3 million reasons to head out the door. A little over 4 years ago I hid a cache the day we went over 2 million caches. This morning I realized the site was going over 3 million and decided to celebrate with another hide.


There is a good trail along the top of the ridge and several different ways to get there. The parking coords that I used are included but there may be other options. The Thunderforest OpenCycleMap option depicts the trails pretty accurately. There is a small flashlight for the FTF.

Got an early start from the Crags trailhead this morning and had a very nice hike up to Devil's Playground. Weather was perfect, so I took several detours once up top (and on the way down) to pick up some nearby caches. Afterwards, I still had a little bounce in me but didn't feel like hanging around the Crags area, so I stopped in Woodland Park on the way home to pick up some caches that help with challenges I'm working on (T>2, regular size caches). Was really starting to feel the heat and the fatigue after doing the caches just north of these, but the topo said it was a pretty flat half mile...so on I went. Thanks for placing this cache! There may be 3,000,000 caches, but there are at least that many other reasons to keep caching! :-)

TFTC! This old guy parked at Cascade area and took the short cut but it was straight uphill. Cache is in good shape, signed the log and thank you for the smiley face on the cache map.

we live geocaching for the very reason that it gets us off the couch! it was a beautiful morning for a hike above the clouds. what an amazing view of the peak today!!! see pic attached.

This is a Note vice a Found It as we have found this cache before. Continuing on my nice long hike today and shortly after finding the same cache owner's 3 Million Plus 1 cache a short while previously, I stopped by this one to make sure all is well (it is) and did a trackable swap. TFTC a second time !

12:41 PM Having completed our 64th Colorado county on 8/5, we are settling into a 2 week stay in Divide.

I first noticed this cache last night when researching caches that would help me fill in my DT grid one more time.

Today is an "acclimation" hike. When I noticed these caches last night, I decided this would be a good one. The ascent from the south was a little taxing on our lungs, bit we managed. I initially passed the cache and was loathe to give up the elevation to backtrack the mere 150 feet to it. Oh, well.

I made the spot, discovered the geocoins, and signed the log. Thanks, WingsAndTales, for the somewhat rare D/T rated cache and a very nice hike. Adding a favorite point for this one, too.

From 3 million and 1 to this cache we continue climbing the ridge. I wasn't anticipating such a steep uphill climb once we got here we took a nice break for a while to cool off and rest before we continued on. Sl, thanks!
