The small cache is a few feet off the trail about 0.75 miles from the parking area. The trail itself is a 3.29 mile easy loop. There is some minor elevation gain.

This is a great trail for fitness training. The trail runs through a prairie dog town, so watch out; these cute critters are watching you too.

Day use fee or Colorado state park pass required.
