ABOUT THE CACHE:

This one is easily accessible from the Lakewood Dry Gulch trail, very close to the Sheridan Station light rail.

You are looking for a micro. It's about 5 feet off the ground. The coords might need some correction, more info in the hint if you want it.

Parking is available literally right next to the cache on 11th Ave, but it is only legally accessible if you enter 11th Ave from the WEST (ie: from Harlan St., turn EAST on 11th Ave.).

There is also a large RTD parking structure, but legally only fare paying RTD customers are allowed to use it, and it is patrolled.

There is no need to go onto any private property, or do anything which would damage anything in order to make the find. It is only a foot or two off the public trail/road.

It is also not necessary to put yourself in any harm's way. Please use caution (especially with kids or animals), as this is on a public road which is also a bike route. Cars and fast bikes use this area! There are also nearby train tracks.

ABOUT THE NAME:

This cache was placed in memory of our favorite Geocaching partners, Dottie and Bettie the basset hounds, who were nicknamed The Manatee and The Walrus.

While they weren't always the most helpful geocachers, they always did their best and we will miss them always. There is a linked photo of them below.

After recent DNF log, we checked up on this. It is still there waiting to be found. However, in light of a few recent DNF logs, we upped the difficulty rating a bit and expanded the info in the hint.
