No Significant hike  Short hike (less than 1km)  No Tree Climbing  Not Front Yard (Private Residence)  Teamwork Required

8 years ago I was watching a documentary about neuroscience on PBS. It was quite fascinating -- among other things, I learned that the brain likes to be challenged, it likes new experiences, and it likes solving puzzles. Hey! I like those things! The documentary went on to discuss something called Geocaching which, they said, provides all of those things for the brain. It sounded like it would be fun, so I started asking my friends if they'd ever heard of it. Every single one of them said, "talk to Vickie and Diane -- they are obsessed with it." Well, I did and they are.

Periwinkle128, as they are known, were kind enough to take me on a maintenance run of their local caches. I was hooked! They have been great friends, mentors, and caching buddies. In honor of our 8 year anniversary we have decided to create a TEAMWORK cache.

What does that mean? Good question! There are certain requirements to be met before you can find and log this smiley. In order to complete this multicache you must team up with a cacher in Michigan. If you post a note on this cache page, or its sister page in Michigan , you can try to connect with a partner.

1. Find a partner in Michigan

2. Find Stage 1 of this cache to retrieve the coordinates for the Final of the Michigan cache. Meanwhile, your partner will find Stage 1 of the Michigan cache to retrieve the coordinates for the Final of the Colorado cache.

3. Exchange FINAL COORDINATES with your partner in Michigan. DO NOT POST THE FINAL COORDINATES IN YOUR ON-LINE LOG!

4. Go to the Final coordinates in Colorado supplied by your Michigan partner. Sign the log. Re-hide the cache and claim your smiley.

5. Include the name of your Michigan partner in your log. Logs without a partner will be deleted.

6. Per Groundspeak Regulations you can only claim a find on the Colorado cache..... until you visit and find its sister in Michigan.

FTF Prize includes two pathtags -- 1 from each CO and a cache maintenance kit.

Original contents include toys for the geokids, replacement caches with envelopes and logs, and other fun stuff.

I was fortunate to not have to wait long at all to find my MI teammate. I partnered with Akita Crew to complete this cache! I believe it’s my first official teamwork cache, too!
Exchanged pathtag/extagz with one I found inside. Thanks! I’ll award a fav for the teamwork aspect

I was in Longmont for a few minutes, so I had to come over and get this one. The hard part was already done, right??? Well, so I thought... I just happened to be caching with the CO over the weekend and we saw not one, but two rather large bull snakes. (Large = 4 feet each) Even though it was cold-ish for snakes with the temp at 60 degrees and dropping, I still thought twice about this one. I'm not out this way very often, so I very carefully picked my way to the cache. Thank you for a cache that is out of the ordinary! I paired up with mmc881 to get the final coordinates.

I was caching in Longmont a couple weeks ago and had put out a request for a partner on this but had no response from anyone before I headed back home to Loveland. I was later contacted by dotdotdash and we teamed up to complete it.

I finally made it back to Longmont today to do some more caching and this was my first stop. It was an easy find and I enjoyed the nice weather for a bit while I signed the log and re-hid the container.

Thanks dotdotdash for partnering with me and thanks peace love pi for placing it!!!
