The fifth of what will be a series of 7 caches near establishments in the San Luis Valley that may have been started by Circuit Riders.
Circuit riders were clergy assigned to a number of communities to established and serve churches in rural areas. They usually traveled by horseback and often only visited their assigned communities only once every few months. This one was founded in 1878, when buildings were put on railroad cars at La Veta Pass and moved down into the San Luis Valley. The building at this location was built after World War II.

It was late in the day, we had returned from the train ride to find an accident occured in the RV park and a reflector on the Honda had been damaged. A quick drive back into Alamosa to order the part and picke up groceries - now it getting close to sundown and I still don't have my COTD. This was the second cache we tried to find. I am pretty sure the first was muggled, this seems to be a case of just not finding the cache. I am sure it is in the correct place, but we just couldn't find it . . . On to another cache in the area.
