Off of La Salle Pass (Forest Rd 44)
Off of La Salle Pass (Forest Rd 44) coming from the west, or Turner Gulch Rd. if coming from the east. Park and head to the north side of the road towards the rock formation and climb from the northwest side. That is easiest but not the only way up. Pack a lunch to enjoy the view from the top.

Out with Geowife caching in the Tarryall area. What a day, found 13 and 9 of them required a hike up a hill or rocks. Must be an unwritten geocache law that states any cache near a hill must be placed on the top. By the end of the day we were both worn out, but we had smiles on our faces. This was number one today, followed your directions and found it after a couple of false starts. Took the recently dropped TB. TFTF

With things I wanted to do in this area today I was disappointed at the end of the drive over from CS to find the entire area west of road 44 closed, and clearly signed as such, since 01Jan until the end of this month.
