Cache Info

This container is about the size of a paperback novel and is covered in camo tape. It is tucked in a spot very much out of sight (to avoid muggle activity nearby) so please put it back exactly as you find it with native camo from the area placed over it. There are at least two approaches to this cache, but whichever you take do be mindful of the creek nearby. Bonus points if you can guess the connection between the item attached to the inner lid of the cache and to another related Lucas property.

THX 1138

In the future the Earth surface is abandond, names are forgotten, and mankind lives in vast underground cities and free will is outlawed by means of mandatory medication that controls human emotion. But when assigned reproductive mates THX 1138 and LUH 3417 stop taking their meds, they wake up to the bleak reality of their own existence and fall in love with each other in the process. But love is also illegal, and the act of making love has made both of them outlaws on the run from an army of robotic police.

I didn't see THX 1138 for the first time until the early 90s at a regular showing of art films hosted by the Cinemaphotography Department at my undergrad. When I did, it blew my mind in the same way as other films of its era did ... with deep minimilist visuals that blasted out ideas through the mostly ambient silence of the soundtracks. Next time you're in for a quiet evening, pair this with 2001: A Space Odyessy and a bottle of cheeky wee chardoney.
