Yahoo! This is almost like being first to find! It was quite a trial for me. I have a new forerunner and decided to go ahead and try it out. There were a couple of people already at the gate waiting to go down the road in their trucks and jeeps so I sort of just tagged along. They were quite nice about it. Got within 0.6 miles of the cache and decided to walk the rest of the way. Good thing… There were some steep rock drop offs that really needed more of a four wheeler than I had. It was a great hike to the cache. Of course I came at it from the wrong way and did a lot of otherwise unnecessary climbing and exploring. Then I found a trail. That took me almost right to it. It would've been just fine but Blue and I were tired. We decided to sit down. I tried to avoid the sharp pointy green cactus like plant near my rock of choice. I did this successfully only to sit on one of those little prickly pears with the tiny needles. Blue had never heard words like that from me. Soooooo......I wanted to give this a favorite point this one because I survived it only to find I am out of favorite points...in my heart it is a favorite. I hope others find this one because it is really a great area! By the way a hot shower and application of duct tape almost gets most of the cactus out.

Great warm sunny day. Scaling the slick rock is a tougher when the boot treads are full of mud! T4TC

Found it after a steep climb up wet rock and sand. There must be an easier way! T:Bhob/CITO GeoToken - green - 73. L:I'm Not From Alabama TB. SL. Nice hike; sunny in the morning but clouded up on the way back up. Great views! T4TC.

First truly beautiful weekend day of the year, I think. The two caches along this route were impetus to lace up my hiking boots and head down the trail. This cache was a challenge to get to as a solo... I saw it before I could reach it... finally found a route that felt safe enough and doable. A few scrapes and scratches as souvenirs, along with the great view to sit and enjoy before looking for a way down :) TFTC! T- CITO pkg L- coin and keychain

Great Hike to this cache!! Even my 6 year olds could make the climb. :) Although any younger some of it would have been to difficult.
